Stepping out of the car it felt like we had arrived 'home'. A wonderful place where we could switch off from the modern world and reconnect with the earth, nature and the sea. The coach house and Caroline came to us when we needed it most. A place to live with nature and more importantly feel a part of it. Caroline's passion to do as little harm as possible to our earth and treat it as a valuable gift shines through in her knowledge and encouragement to just be and enjoy. We have loved it here.

Dear Caroline
What a treasure this place is. We loved it so much we could live here. The ever-changing views, the skies, the sea, the four seasons in one day, the hot tub, the cosiness, the lack of wifi and so much more ... Thank you, Caroline, for sharing this beautiful place, and your warm welcome. We loved talking to you, and hope we will meet again. All the best

What a wonderful place. Such bliss to be by the sea. A cosy, comfortable house -- a window seat to read on while looking out over the bay. Perfect! And we all, dogs included, have loved the scramble down to the beach, and the swimming. Thank you.

We all just wanted to thank you again for allowing us to spend some quality time at The Coach House, we all enjoyed ourselves immensely - Charlie [aged 7] said 'Do you think Caroline will let us come and live here?' which was in itself wonderful to know that he had a great time - who needs games consoles !!

We had the most amazing weekend ever in Windsworth! We loved how peaceful it was, watching the birds, playing games in front of the fire and relaxing in the hot tub. We walked to Looe in the wind and rain, and it was still a beautiful walk.
Windsworth will always have a special place in our hearts because we got engaged on the private beach!
Thank you so much to Caroline for all the little personal touches to make our weekend one we’ll never forget. ♥

WOW! was our first impression, pretty sure we fell in love on day 1 – hearing tawny owls eating whilst relaxing in the hot tub +sheep munching in the field, was defo a highlight! The path down to the beach was so exciting! We walked, kayaked (even in the rain!), relaxed and did lots of birdwatching. Defo would suggest kayaking Looe River!
Thank you so much for such an amazing place! I made Jordan sleep with the curtains open every night so I could wake up to the view with the birds. Thank you again. We will be back and sharing this place with other nature lovers.

We came from near and far for a long weekend to celebrate my 40th. The weather was kind to us despite the season, but we opted out of the hot tub. The coach house has everything you need We loved keeping the stove warm and waiting for hot water! The walk to the beach is not for the faint hearted - the coast path into Looe is wonderful. By the time we had to leave I was completely used to living without all the modern gadgets. This was my second stay and I will definitely be back! Thank you, Caroline and Alex.

We talk a lot more in an offgrid house. Superb dwelling with an ace hot-tub. Would thoroughly recommend this to everybody.
There once was a hot tub near Looe
That had the most stunning of views,
We could sit there all day,
Overlooking the Bay,
And arise refreshed and renewed.
Thanks for creating such a wonderful place … and letting us share it!

Windsworth is an enchanting place. The house is so cosy and inviting. We played games, danced, ate delicious slow-roasted food, sang and played music, walked the coastal paths and thoroughly chilled. To be so close to the sea has been wonderful … an endless expanse onto which we can project all life’s depth and meaning.

Thoroughly enjoyed no TV, surviving without the grid. Family chats and meals around the log-burning stove have been fabulous, and so have the views. We’ve loved staying here, the views are wonderful and we’ve really enjoyed the scramble down to the beach and back up again. Thank you.

Everything is wonderful here – the views, the woodburner, the animals, the pace and the hot tub. A full battery recharge, all without electricity! Caroline, you and your family have created a small piece of heaven that feels like it’s just for us. Thank you. We must come back. PS Thank you, June, for your delicious dinners. x

Thank you so much for one of the best experiences we had. This is such a special place. Simple but actually it has everything you need for a perfect stay. We all feel like we skipped to some fairytale land and we can’t believe we need to go back to reality.
Already planning our next trip, as this will be the best medicine for everything.
A special thanks for:
• the kids’ toys and games, which are brilliant,
• June’s yummy stew, and
• your great tips and hospitality.
We’re grateful for knowing this place, and looking forward to our next time.

Thank you for your hospitality and the stories. We will be back [in September] and enjoy everything about this place.

Hi Caroline,
Thanks, you made my Christmas so amazing! I love this place and will keep coming here.
P. Ivanov, 27th December 17

We'd been here less than 5 minutes when I turned to my partner and said, “We’re coming back here.” This is a little slice of heaven. I love how long it takes to boil a kettle on the wood burner – really I do! Life here slows right down and has a deliberateness that gives meaning to every task and the view … I kept on going out at all times of day and night) to see, hear, smell what was going on. We loved sitting in front of the woodburner in the evening … reading stories, talking or quietly reading our books. Just perfect.
“Reading our books …” we do sound rather old and staid! Being here is so different – fantastic uninterrupted views, great walks, lots of birds. I have to say I was a bit sceptical about going off-grid, but getting heating, hot water and cooking off that lovely wood burner was ideal. Just great spending 4 days without TV, iPads & computers does enable unhurried focus on more satisfying aspects of life.
Thank you, Roger and Nick<.i>, 3 December 2017
PS We did cycle and walk into Looe!

Dear Caroline,
We want to thank you for the most wonderful stay. From the moment that we stepped out of the car the house had a really lovely feel and atmosphere. We found that everything worked perfectly and the beds especially comfortable!! It has been so nice to be so close to the sea and the view is seriously stunning.
Thank you so much!
Love, Jess, Billy & everyone!

This house and it's glorious setting has a magical quality, it takes you a step out of time to offer true relaxation whilst enjoying each other and nature as it was meant to be. I cannot recommend it highly enough, as a family we loved exploring the surrounding countryside and private beach. (That adventure is a story all in itself) We were all in love with the view, it takes your breath away when you first see it properly and waking up to it each morning you can't help but smile. Wild ponies and sheep literally on your doorstep, all very friendly and the odd pheasant visiting the garden all add to the feeling of tranquility. It is a wonderfully comfortable house, beautifully finished and full of rustic charm. It was a revelation to all of us how easy it was to live off grid, it was more cosy and warm than our own home. Lots of hot water and I'm sure the food tasted better cooked on the range. We barely left, only to get supplies from the local farm shop and to pop to the very local beaches. Seriously so much to enjoy right on the doorstep no need for big days out. We just wanted to spend all our time in the house and on the land. Caroline is a wonderful host, the place was very much our own and private, and it felt Caroline was there to enhance the experience (as much or as little as you like) she was wonderful with the children, letting us call on her to trick or treat and eggs from the henhouse. A lovely warm lady who has created something wonderful on this beautiful piece of countryside. All the little touches in the house, the comfy beds, the well equipped kitchen, the fun of the fires, we all loved the musical instruments provided and we all had such fun playing the various games. The main thing this holiday gave us all as a family was a feeling of well-being. We could of stayed forever! I could write so much more about the virtues of this little slice of paradise but will finish by saying we will definitely be returning and keep up the wonderful work Caroline.

I could look at this view forever! What a glorious spot! We experienced all weathers (bar snow) in the four days that we have been here. I feel totally relaxed and regenerated as a result. Simon has loved keeping the woodburner going and we’ve adjusted to the ’slow’ cooking on woodburner – porridge tastes particularly good. Fantastic walks on your doorstep and an invigorating challenge to get onto the small stretch of beach have all meant we’ve had no need to venture much further than Looe – which was a great walk, too. Thank you – we will definitely hope to return one day.
